Exhibition project that shows a sample of woven baskets and wood carved sculptures made by members of the Ye ‘kwana community in the Caura basin, in the Venezuelan Guayana region . The collection is curated by, and exhibited in Museo delle Culture di Lugano (Switzerland). Its pieces invite to study, value and promote Ye ‘kwana culture and art through the trans-disciplinary vision of Swiss, Italian and Venezuelan scholars interested in the anthropology of art, conservation science, classic anthropology, linguistics and art history, among other fields of study that converge in the fascinating world of the native cultures of the Guiana Shield and the Amazon basin.
