This project pursues the increase of knowledge of the biological diversity in the forest ecosystems of the Caura basin (Venezuelan Guayana) through its study and functional charaterization, with the ultimate purpose to establish recommendations for their conservation. This project´s objectives and scope are inserted within the national strategy of biodiversity carried on by the Ministry of Environment of Venezuela.
